Ash Dieback is a commonly known fungal disease which causes leaf loss and crown die-back and can kill the infected tree. Some ashes are steadily showing signs of increased resistance - but many local councils' arboriculture teams are still on a bizarre mission to cut down not only infected trees - but also trees that may cause a danger, should they ever become infected.

Fun fact: Ash seeds, (or samaras), are known as 'keys' because of their distinctive shape and the fact they hang in bunches.
